The Richardson Center at IRSC Mueller Campus provides new education, business, and technology opportunities for Indian River County residents. The 16,000 square-foot center is a high-tech, affordable setting for educational, entrepreneurial, community, and economic development activities.
Featured at the Richardson Center are the 250-seat Mueller Auditorium, with an adjacent full commercial kitchen; the high-tech Wachovia Strategic Planning Center, flanked by four breakout rooms; the Bob and Becky Allen and J. Richard and Mary Graves Veranda, which is ideal for breaks and receptions; the Business Training Room, Multi-purpose classroom, and the Seacoast National Bank computer lab.
||The facilities are fully equipped as a Strategic Planning Center; conference and break-out rooms; complete culinary/catering kitchen; technical support; lighting and sound options; and sophisticated technology, "Smart Boards," VCR/CD Rom/DVD, wireless internet access, electronic multi-media podiums, and a superior sound system.
Rooms within the Richardson Center have been named in recognition of major contributors: Mueller Auditorium, Bob and Becky Allen and J. Richard and Mary Graves Veranda, Wachovia Strategic Planning Center, The New Piper Aircraft, Inc. Break-Out Room, Leroy Smith, Inc. Ray and Beth Smith Break-Out Room, Bjorkman Break-Out Room, In Memory of Helen and Merrill Barber Break-Out Room, U.S. Trust and Richard and Laura McDermott Reception Hall, Indian River National Bank Business Development Center and the Seacoast National Bank Computer Lab.
The Richardson Center is the first building in IRSC’s planned $55 million expansion of the Mueller Campus. Future plans include a new main entrance off 66th Avenue to lead to 15 college buildings on our 150-acre campus. Programs and course options will continue to expand consistent with facility development.

Dan K. Richardson Entrepreneurship Program
The Dan K. Richardson Entrepreneurship Program promotes awareness and appreciation of our free enterprise system. Sponsored by the Indian River State College Foundation, and 14 other founding members, this multi-faceted program is funded through a leadership contribution from the Lambert Foundation in honor of Mr. Dan K. Richardson.
- High school, college students, and local residents learn about free enterprise through the Distinguished Lecture Series.
- Business leaders are honored with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
- College professors are recognized by an Endowed Teaching Chair in Business and Entrepreneurship at IRSC.
- College students can apply for Workforce Development Scholarships to prepare for a productive future.
