About Us

For Associate Degree students.

As a society which honors high academic achievement, the Nu lota Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa National Scholastic Fraternity promotes scholarship, encourages the development of character, and cultivates fellowship among students of community colleges.


  • Completed at least 12 semester hours of college credit coursework.
  • Enrolled in at least 12 hours of college credit courses.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.

To maintain membership you must complete at least 9 semester hours of college credit coursework each semester and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher.


  • Transfer Scholarships - Members may apply for more than $37 million in transfer scholarships.
  • Vendor Discounts – Geico, Dell, etc.
  • Professional Networking.

Additional Information:

  • Advisors, officers, and active members attend a regional and international convention each spring.
  • Through enhanced membership, members have the opportunity to participate in club activities focused on leadership, fellowship, scholarship, and service.
