With Bachelor's degree: $21.01 per hour;
With Master's degree: $23.28 per hour:
With Doctorate or equivalent: $26.47 per hour
 
Hours:The hours for this position are varied. May require some evening and weekends.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements:
Bachelors degree with Registered Health Information Administration certification (RHIA) is required, with at least 3 years recent experience in health information management department in a healthcare facility. Current continuing education with American Health Information Management Association is desired.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Courses to be taught: Introduction to Health Information Management Medical Terminology I and II Healthcare Data Analysis Quality Assessment Legal Aspects of Health Information Management Commuting to St. Lucie County and Martin County Campuses is required.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilites include but are not limited to: the ability to commute between campuses; preparing course materials, and class lectures; maintaining student grade documentation; using Excel and Word software programs; working with students in groups and individually to assist in retention efforts, conveying appropriate course guidance to students as needed related to: registration, policies and procedures, job opportunities, and accepting direction from the Health Information Management program director.

Essential Physical Skills:
Essential physical skills include but are not limited to: the ability to transport books, lecture & class materials to classes; communicate effectively for student understanding, sitting, standing, bending & reaching, manual dexterity to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, calculators, the telephone and other office equipment, normal range of hearing and vision.
