Power Plant-WorkersIRSC’s experience in developing and implementing a nuclear curriculum established the Nuclear Power Plant Technology Institute.  Responding to the immediate need of FPL to replace retiring workers, update skills of the existing workforce, create a career ladder for incumbent workers, open additional opportunities for professional development and advancement.

The Electrical Power Technology program has the following options: instrumentation and control & electrical (ICE) specialization, mechanical, and radiation protection. In addition to an admissions application, candidates must successfully pass a series of tests prescribed by our industrial partner, Florida Power and Light.
