Dental Hygienist

An Associate in Science Degree in Dental Hygiene will prepare you for success as a Dental Hygienist providing preventive dental care to the public. As a Dental Hygienist, you’ll work directly with patients in private dental offices, public health agencies, school systems, hospitals, and clinics.

You’ll learn how to examine the mouth, scale, root plane, clean and polish teeth and expose and interpret X-rays. You’ll be prepared to take the Dental Hygiene National and State Licensure Board examinations. You can also continue your education, earning a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for research, teaching, or clinical practice in public or school health programs.
