Industry Growth

According to the U.S. Department of Labor, the number of jobs in the trucking industry is expected to grow 21% from 2007 to 2014. An American Trucking association study stated that the industry will need 32,000 to 60,000 new drivers each year to fill the need created by industry growth and driver retirement making this an excellent career choice for job security.

What Will I Learn?

The Commercial Vehicle Driving program prepares students for entry-level employment as a truck driver. The program focuses on safety issues, federal rules and regulations, private one-on-one driver training instruction, acquiring class "A" CDL License, and local or over-the-road job placement.
