Begin with the Associate in Arts Degree for your first two years of college. You can focus on elementary age children or exceptional education, high school teaching or physical education.
Bachelor’s Degree programs in Education at IRSC offer you outstanding options. If you love young children, elementary education may be for you. As an Exceptional Education teacher you can help children and young people overcome challenges to learning. As a math teacher you will help children build vitally important skills that will assist them in all aspects of their lives. Want to inspire students about the world around them? Choose the hands-on activities of the science teacher. The need for math and science teachers in Florida is at a critical level, and jobs are readily available for successful graduates.
If you have a Bachelor’s Degree in a field other than education, you can prepare for teacher certification through the Educator Preparation Institute.
- A.A. Degree — Complete your first two years of college at IRSC, and you’re guaranteed the right to transfer as a junior to a Bachelor’s program at a Florida state university — or continue to a Bachelor’s degree at IRSC.
- A.S. Degree — Gain management and technical skills in many high-demand career fields, with the option to continue toward a Bachelor’s degree at IRSC.
- Technical Certificates — Earn valuable Technical Certificates at the same time you’re completing an A.S. Degree — get double the value and additional credentials by completing these blocks of courses.
