Golf Course Operations
The IRSC program in golf course operations will equip you with the skills needed to become a golf course superintendent, sports field manager or turf and landscape manager. In fact, many graduates serve as superintendents and in other leadership positions at prestigious golf courses, sports fields and large landscape operations. With over 1,400 golf courses and a growing landscape industry in Florida, there will continue to be job opportunities. Students have the choice of attending evening classes, online distance learning classes, or a combination of both. You’ll participate in field trips and projects that include practical training at the Pruitt Campus in Port St. Lucie. Specific admissions criteria must be met for admittance to the Golf Course Institute.
- A.S. Degree — Gain management and technical skills in many high-demand career fields, with the option to continue toward a Bachelor’s degree at IRSC.
- Technical Certificates — Earn valuable Technical Certificates at the same time you’re completing an A.S. Degree — get double the value and additional credentials by completing these blocks of courses.
