BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Bodi Anderson, Ed.D.
Dr. Anderson received his doctorate from Northern Arizona University in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Educational Technology, as well as his M.A. in applied linguistics with a focus on corpus and Computer Assisted Language Learning (C.A.L.L.). His research agenda lies in cultural influences on online learning, game-based and virtual worlds learning, and inquiry into the online mini-mester. In addition to teaching duties Dr. Anderson also co-chairs the Publication Learning Committee at the Institute of Academic Excellence. He is originally from Arizona where they had two distinct seasons and is in awe of Florida’s single, never ending season.

BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Ellen Browning, Ph.D.
Dr. Browning has a Ph.D. from Old Dominion University in Special Education and has been with IRSC since fall 2015. Dual certified in Earth-Space Science (6-12) and K-12 Exceptional Student Education in two states, she has 19 years of experience as a teacher, administrator, and university faculty. Her research agenda includes: high-access instruction, formative assessment, and virtual coaching of novice and veteran teachers. Dr. Browning is the Student ESE Club Sponsor.

BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Donna Karr Jurenas
Professor Jurenas holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Illinois in Educational Psychology and has been with IRSC since 1990. She is Clinical Experiences Coordinator for teachers in the K-12 schools who want to work with our student teachers. She received the Teacher of the Month award in September, 1997.

BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Emily Renschler
Professor Renschler holds a Master’s Degree from Ball State University in Elementary Education and has been with IRSC since fall 2016. Also certified as a Reading Coach in Florida and Indiana, she has nine years experience as a teacher, coach, and university faculty. Her research includes: motivating reluctant readers, grouping strategies, and using drama to enhance language arts instruction. Professor Renschler co-chairs the Academy of Future Teachers at IRSC.

Professor Kinggard holds a Master’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in Reading Education and has been with IRSC since 2012. Currently, she is working on an Education Specialist Degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) with anticipation of completing in fall 2017.

Dr. Karen Ng has a Ph.D. from University of Southern Mississippi in Science Education with emphasis in Biology. She is the Science discipline leader and faculty sponsor for the Academy of Future Teachers.

BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Kimberly Zgonc, Ph.D.
Dr. Zgonc has a Ph.D. from University of Central Florida in Exceptional Student Education and has been at IRSC since 2009. She is the ESE discipline leader, contact person for the Autism Endorsement, co-sponsor for the Kappa Delta Pi, and the Coordinator of a grant for ESE/Math professional development. Dr. Zgonc is also winner of Florida Today’s “Turbo Mom” award.

BIO: SCHOOL OF EDUCATION - Robin Zide, Ph.D.
Dr. Zide holds a Doctorate Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Math Education from Nova Southeastern University. She has been at IRSC since 2015. Dr. Zide has over a decade of experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary and post-secondary levels. She is an active member of the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), Mathematical Association of America (MAA), Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (AMTE) and American Mathematical Society (AMS).
