Apply to Indian River State College
Applying is simple and can be completed entirely online. Whether you’re earning your first degree, returning to college, or preparing for a new career, we’re here to help every step of the way.

Before You Apply
Have these items ready before starting your application:
- Your full legal name and date of birth
- A personal email address (not a school email)
- Your current mailing address
- Your cell phone number
- Your Social Security Number (if available)
- Your high school information
- Any previous college information and transcripts
- A payment method for the application fee
Start Your Application
Use your personal email address to create your account by following these steps:
- Go to apply.irsc.edu
- Click Apply Now
- Select River Application
- Enter your personal email address
- Create a password
- Save your email and password—you’ll use them to return to your application.
Finish Your Application
If you’ve already started an application, you can return at any time to:
- Finish your application
- Upload required documents
- Check your application status
If you’ve forgotten your password, select Forgot Password on the sign-in page.
Application Fees
Most programs require a $20 application fee, including:
- Associate in Arts (A.A.)
- Associate in Arts (A.A.)
- Associate in Science (A.S.)
- Career Training
- Associate Level Professional Development / Non-Degree
- Technical Certificates
- Adult Education (ESL & GED)
Select programs require a different application fee:
- $30 — Bachelor’s Degree programs
- $30 — Selective Admission programs
- $60 — A.S. Nursing
Some programs may have additional application fees.
After You Apply
1. Watch Your Email
We’ll send updates to the personal email address you used on your application.
2. Submit Any Requested Documents
If additional information is needed, we’ll let you know.
3. Complete Your Enrollment Checklist
Once your application is processed, you’ll receive instructions for your remaining enrollment steps.
4. Activate RiverMail
You’ll receive a RiverMail activation email after your application has been processed. Activate it as soon as you receive it to avoid missing important updates.
If you don’t receive your RiverMail activation email after your application has been processed, check your spam folder or contact Student Services.
