Right now, The River is transitioning to a new application system. That means you’ll need to choose the application based on when you plan to start classes. Don’t worry, we’ll help you pick the right one below.
If you’re transferring to The River and need your transcripts evaluated, please apply for the Summer 2026 term.
Start in Spring or Summer 2026?
Use this application if you plan to begin classes in January, May, or June 2026.
- Spring Term: Begins January 2026
- Summer Term: Begins May or June 2026
- Available programs: All associate, bachelor’s, dual enrollment, and certificate options
Starting in Fall 2026 or later?
Use this application if you plan to begin classes in August 2026 or beyond.
- Fall Term: Begins August 2026
- Available programs: All associate, bachelor’s, dual enrollment, and certificate options
- This is the application for 2026 Promise Program
Our Application Can Be Completed Entirely Online
Before starting your application, have the following ready:
- Transcripts if you’ve attended college before
- Full legal name and date of birth
- Social Security number (if available)
- Physical address and personal email (not shared)
- Cell phone number for application updates
- Name and location of your high school and any prior colleges
- Payment method for the application fee

Application Fees
At Indian River State College, we make applying simple and affordable. Here’s what to know before you start your application.
A $20 application fee will apply to most Indian River State College programs, including:
- Associate in Arts (A.A.)
- Associate in Science (A.S.)
- Career Training
- Associate Level Professional Development / Non-Degree
- Technical Certificates
- Adult Education (ESL & GED)
A $30 application fee for Selective Admissions programs.
A $30 application fee for Bachelor’s degree programs.
A $60 application fee for the A.S. Degree – Nursing program.
Some programs may have additional application fees.
