Students can now take the FLATS exam by using Proctor360 at home. Proctor360 is a secure remote proctoring service that has been approved to proctor the FLATS test. If you choose to be proctored in this manner, you will need to indicate so on your registration. Note that for this proctoring option, you will need to have access to a camera, microphone and laptop/computer. There is a button on the registration page that will autofill everything you need for the proctor section of the registration to aid in the ease of selecting Proctor360.

How to Register

Create your personal account through the FLATS website at https://flats.byu.edu/signupall.php.  On the FLATS website, you can register and pay for a FLATS exam. Exam fees are $70 ($50.00 for the exam and $20 for the Proctor360 proctoring fee).  You must pay online at the time of registration. IRSC does not collect fees for FLATS testing.  Note: During the registration process, for "Current University" you must select “OTHER” in order to take the FLATS exam for Indian River State College.  Additionally, you must select "Autofill Proctor360 as My Proctor" during the registration process.

After registration, please go to proctor360.com/flats to sign up for a time for the exam. You will need to schedule your exam time at least 48 hours beforehand. Please note that if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you will need to do that at least 24 hours beforehand or you will forfeit your $20 proctoring fee with Proctor 360.
