The River Line
The River Line helps students connect with key support services at Indian River State College (The River).
Through the River Line, students can schedule appointments or join a virtual line to meet with staff from:
- Admissions
- Academic Advising
- Financial Aid
- Veterans Services
- Career and Transfer Services
- Student Records
This system was previously known as QLess, but it continues to provide the same convenient way to connect with campus support teams.
Students can access the River Line online or from a kiosk at any Student Success Center(The Hub).

HOW THE RIVER LINE WORKS
Join the Virtual Line
Schedule an appointment or join the line online or from a campus kiosk.
Move Freely
Wait wherever you’d like.
Get Updates
You will receive estimated wait times and notifications, including an alert approximately 15 minutes before your turn.
Meet with Student Services
When it is your turn, the system will notify you so you can meet with the appropriate campus office for help with admissions, advising, financial aid, or other student services.
Advising Drop-In Hours vs. Advising Appointments
Fall/Spring Semesters
Monday/Wednesday:
8:00 AM–12:00 PM (drop-ins); 12:00 PM–6:30 PM (appointments only)
Tuesday/Thursday:
2:00 PM–6:30 PM (drop-ins); 8:00 AM–2:00 PM (appointments only)
Friday: Appointments only
Summer Semester
Monday/Wednesday: 7:00 AM–11:00 AM (drop-ins); 11:00 PM–6:30 PM (appointments only)
Tuesday/Thursday: 3:00 PM–6:30 PM (drop-ins); 7:00 AM–3:00 PM (appointments only)
Friday: Closed
Please note that during appointment-only periods, students without a scheduled appointment will not be able to join the advising queue. Additionally, drop-in advising is available in person only.
