Spring Registration Opens November 5

November 1, 2018 Robert Lane

Spring registration at Indian River State College (IRSC) opens for all students on Monday, November 5. Students are encouraged to register early to ensure they are ready for the first day of class on Monday, January 7, 2019.

Recognizing that many students have full-time jobs and family obligations that divide their attention between work, family, and school, IRSC offers expanded evening, and weekend courses. These expanded course offerings are available at each of the five IRSC campuses located within a 20-minute drive of every Treasure Coast resident. Additionally, the Virtual Campus, allows students to choose from hundreds of online courses each semester.

Prior to registration, students are encouraged to view the online course schedule where they can search all available courses—including expanded weekend offerings. To view courses, go to www.irsc.edu and click on the course schedule link on the top navigation bar of the homepage then select the yellow button at the top left to sort courses by term, campus location, and day.

IRSC offers more than 100 programs leading to Bachelor’s Degrees, Associate Degrees, Technical Certificates and Applied Technology Diplomas. Students can choose educational options that range from Quick Job Training (developing skills in a year or less) to four-year Baccalaureate degree programs.

IRSC is identified by the United States Department of Education as the most affordable college in Florida and the third-most affordable college in the country. Tuition is 40% less than public universities and thousands of dollars less than private universities and career colleges or institutes. Financial aid and scholarship programs are readily available to eligible students. More than 85% of IRSC students receive financial aid they don’t need to pay it back.

New students can follow these five steps to get started at IRSC:

  1. Visit www.irsc.edu to complete the application for admission
  2. Submit their official transcripts from high school and other colleges
  3. Apply for Financial Aid and Scholarships
  4. Sign up for New Student Orientation
  5. Meet with an advisor and register for classes
