Parking and Transportation
Indian River State College has abundant parking for students, employees and guests. Additionally, IRSC has partnered with South Florida Commuter Services, a program of the Florida Department of Transportation, to provide transportation options for students through the Commuter Connector and free Go Line bus services.
All vehicles must have an IRSC parking decal to park on our campus. Parking decals, available at all campuses and in the Vice President of Student Affairs Office on Main Campus in Fort Pierce, are required for student vehicles.
Student parking is available throughout the campus in the non-reserved areas. Students should pay particular attention to parking spaces marked “Reserved”; these spaces are not for student use. Students may park in a designated “Reserved” parking space only after 5:00 p.m. or on a Saturday or Sunday.
Visitors should refer to individual campus maps for parking information.
Reserved parking is for full-time faculty, staff and administration. Security officers will ticket illegally parked cars.
Handicapped parking in conveniently located throughout the campus, including all major lots.

Sufficient overflow parking is located on the east, south and southeast side of the Main Campus. Be aware that parking in certain prohibited areas is subject to city law enforcement violations and your vehicle may be ticketed or towed. IRSC has no control over city enforcements.
Parking Fine Payments
Parking fines are $10.00 and payable at the IRSC Cashier’s Office located in Crews Hall (W-Building). Fines must be paid, or your grades will be held and future registrations stopped. Violators may have vehicles towed by a private wrecker service.
Parking Citation Appeals
The Parking Citation Appeals Form is used to appeal a parking citation that you believe may have been issued in error or improperly. Lack of knowledge or unfamiliarity with these regulations is not considered a valid reason for parking in violation of the regulations. The appeals form must be submitted to the Student Affairs Office, KSU-112, within 10 calendar days of the issuance of the citation either electronically, by mail or by fax:

Late, undelivered (mail or faxed), vague or incomplete appeals will not be reviewed. All appeals must be typed or printed clearly. Limit your appeal response to the facts directly related to the issuance of the ticket. Campus Safety and Security will review the completed form within 30 days of receiving the form and will contact you (via email) with their decision. They will render a decision on the merits of the appeal based upon only the facts submitted. They cannot consider issues which may have significance but were omitted from the appeal.
All decisions by Campus Safety and Security are final and binding.
