Call for Abstracts

The Nursing Department at Indian River State College is accepting abstracts for the May 6, 2020, Nursing Research Symposium. Submissions must describe quality improvement, evidence-based practice, or research projects (completed or ongoing) conducted by nurses, students, and faculty. The deadline for submission is April 1, 2020. You will be notified of your acceptance on April 15, 2020.

Submission Requirements

• The abstract should be between 300 and 500 words, excluding author’s name(s), abstract title, etc.
• The abstract should include the following headings:  Introduction/Background, Methods, Results, and Discussion. However, formatting is dictated by the type of scholarly work conducted.
• The Primary Author will need to specify the following:
  • Presentation Format
    • Poster presentation (36” H x 48” W)
    • Podium presentation (25-minute; 5 minutes questions/answers)
    • Both
  • Work/project status
    • Completed work/project
    • Ongoing work/project
  • Work/project type
    • Clinical
    • Academic
    • Students
