If you love the written word and are curious about the potential for human expression both spoken and literary, and want to expand your own understanding and use of the English language, an Associate Degree in English is the place to begin. An English degree is among the most popular and long-standing of educational paths.

Once You Complete the Program

Students with an Associate of Arts Degree in English graduate with a solid understanding of English composition, American and World literature, creative writing and the fundamentals of speech and communication and may obtain an entry-level position in the workforce or transfer credits to a four-year Baccalaureate program at a university.

Complete your first two years of college at IRSC, and you’re guaranteed the right to transfer as a junior to a Bachelor’s Degree program at a Florida public university—or continue in a Bachelor’s Degree program at IRSC.
